3. not less than 21 nor more than 50 years of age;
4. at least 5 feet and 4 inches in height; and
5. suffering none of the disqualifications provided for in the preceding section: Provided, That foreigners who are already employed as watchmen or security guards prior to the approval of this Act shall not be subject to the above-mentioned requirements: Provided, further, That veterans shall be given priority in employment as security guard, watchman or private detective: And provided, finally, That person convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude shall not be employed as security guard, watchman or private detective.
Sec. 9. Types of License.
a. Temporary License (SBR or special bank receipt from Land Bank of the Philippines)
b. Regular License – Personnel License Card that is valid for three years (as per PNP-SOSIA Memorandum dated May 23, 2011).
Sec. 13. Renewal of License.
A. Renewal of license to exercise of profession shall also be filed with SOSIA after completion of the required retraining and requirements for renewal of license. The requirements are as follows:
1. Application for License of Private Security Guard/Officer;
2. General Knowledge Examination result (PASSED);
3. Proof of training;
4. Neuro-Psychiatric Test Clearance;
5. Drug Test Result/Clearance;
6. PNP Intelligence Clearance (DI) or NBI Clearance.
B. All license security personnel must undergo in-service re-training at least once in every three years.
Sec. 15. Possession of License.
1. All license private security personnel while in the exercise of their profession shall have in his/her body valid license to exercise private security profession together with the corresponding proof of payment of license fee.
2. The license issued shall be the proof of authority of the grantee to engage or exercise private security profession.
